The CESESMA team

The CESESMA team: Who are we? 

The members of the team, one by one:

 



Nohemí Molina Tórrez

From La Reyna, San Ramón, was one of the founders of CESESMA in 1992. Is a Teacher, has a degree in Sociology, and currently coordinates the Safe and Secure Schools project in Tuma La Dalia, Waslala and Rancho Grande.


 

Guillermo Medrano Olivares

From Managua, came to CESESMA in 1995. Social worker by profession and currently Executive Coordinator of CESESMA.
 

 

Catalina Varela Ruiz

From Matagalpa, came to CESESMA in 1997 as cook-housekeeper. Today she is CESESMA's principal crafts teacher.

 

Marta Lidia Padilla

From Samulalí, came to CESESMA in 1999. Is an Educator, has a degree in sociology and currently coordinates the Right to Quality Education with Equality project in the Tuma-La Dalia district.

 

Marisol Hernández Méndez

From Samulalí, came ot CESESMA in 2000. Is a sociologist, and currently coordinates CESESMA's programmes in the municipalities of San Ramón and Matagalpa.

 

Harry McCall Shier

From Ireland, came to CESESMA in 2001. Is an educator, specialist in children's participation and currently CESESMA's Education Adviser.


 

Arlen Johana Cárdenas

From La Reyna, San Ramón, came to CESESMA in 2007. Is qualified in Business Administration and is currently Head of Administration and Finance at CESESMA.



 

Moisés Molina Tórrez

From La Reyna, San Ramón, came to CESESMA in 2001 as a driver. Now a qualified agronomist, coordinates the Sustainable Agriculture training programme.
 



 

Amy Giovania Araúz

From Matagalpa, came to CESESMA in 2001. Now a qualified Psychologist, works with the San Ramón team on prevention of violence.


 

Karla Lisseth Sánchez García

From Samulalí, started with CESESMA as a promotora  in 1996 at the age of 9, and joined the CESESMA team in 2005. Currently studying for a degree in Social Science, and coordinates the Prevention of Violence project in Samulalí.



 

Blanca Lidia Rugama

From La Garita, San Ramón, came to CESESMA in 2003 as cook-housekeeper at the CESESMA office.

 

Camilo José Hernández

From Siare, San Ramón, started with CESESMA in 2006. Currently coordinates two projects: "Children and Young People's Participation in Educational Governance" and "Promotion of Investment in Children and Youth".



 

Esteban Martín Mayer

From Switzerland, came to CESESMA in 2001 with Swiss development agency Eirene. Is a Chemical Engineer, and currently coordinates the New Opportunities for Educational Participation for Children and Young People project in Tuma-La Dalia.


 

Janeth Saenz Montenegro

From Matagalpa, came to CESESMA in 2007. Is a qualified accountant and currently manages the  accounts for the Prevention of Violence programme.


 

Juana Virginia López

From San Ramón, came to CESESMA in 2008. Actress and drama worker, currenlty runs CESESMA's youth theatre programme.



 

Fausto Monzalvo Herrera

From Matagalpa, came to CESESMA in 2008. Drives one of CESESMA's pick-up trucks.



 

Fátima Lissett Larios

From Matagalpa, came to CESESMA in 2008. Qualified in Business Administration, manages CESESMA's book-keeping and accounts.



 

Yauxel Esnoyde Ocampo

From La Dalia, started with CESESMA in 1999 as a young promotor, aged 9, and for seven years ran the La Dalia children's radio team. Joined the CESESMA team in 2009. Studying for a degree in marketing, is currently Community Education Worker in the La Dalia team.



 

Zorayda Castillo Raithe

From Waslala, joined CESESMA in 2009. Is a Teacher, and currently education worker on the Safe and Secure Schools project in Waslala.



 

Orlando Pérez López

From La Dalia, started with CESESMA as a young Promotor in 2005, and joined the team in 2009. Now qualified in agronomy, is sustainable agriculture trainer with the La Dalia team.



 

Leonilda Barrera López

From Waslala, joined CESESMA in 2009. Social Worler, and currently Education Worker on the Safe and Secure Schools project in Waslala.



 

Sandra Yanírez Gurdián

From Rancho Grande, joined CESESMA in 2009. Is a Teacher, and currently Education Worker on the Safe and Secure Schools project in Rancho Grande.



 

Roberto Peralta González

From La Reyna, San Ramón. Joined CESESMA in 2004 as Night Watchman at the San Ramón office.

 

Ulises Benjamín Rosales Sánchez

Community Education Worker in the La Dalia team. Specialist in renewable natural resources, and a native of Matagalpa.

 

 

Erenia Lisbeth Blandón

From La Dalia, is a qualified primary teacher; currently Community Education Worker with the Safe and Secure Schools project in Rancho Grande.

 

Luis Arlenzón Ochoa

Native of San Ramón, drives one of the CESESMA pick-ups, supporting the work in Tuma-La Dalia, Waslala and Rancho Grande.

 

 

José Constantino Sánchez Vanegas (Tino)

From Carazo in the south of Nicaragua, coordinates the Children's Reading Programme in Tuma-La Dalia, Rancho Grande and Waslala.

 

 

Franklin Antonio López Peralta

From La Reyna, San Ramón, is night watchman at CESESMA's Community Learning Centre in Casas Blancas, La Dalia.

 

 

Iris Ivon López

Originally from El Tuma, first became involved with CESESMA a the age of twelve, as a member of the "Stars of La Dalia" youth theatre group. Now a member of the Tuma-La Dalia team, is responsible for media and communications. Also studying for a Sociology degree at the University of the North of Nicaragua, UNN.

 

Jaime Lenín Salgado

From San Martín in Samulalí district. Has a long history with CESESMA since he got invovled at the age of ten in a folk-dance group and later in craft workshops. Now a Community Education Worker in the San Ramón-Matagalpa team, he is studying for a degree in Agricultural Production Systems at UNN.

 

Karelia Martínez

Runs CESESMA's Internet Cafe (Telecentro). Is also Accounts Assistant, and Receptionist at the CESESMA office in San Ramón. Lives in Matagalpa and has completed a Business degree at UNN

 

Félix Pedro Blandino

Lives in Casas Blancas, La Dalia, and is currently Community Education Worker on the Safe and Secure Schools project in Rancho Grande. Is studying Agronomy at the Popular University of Nicaragua (UPONIC) in La Dalia.

 

Heyling Lisbeth González Guido

From Samulalí, Community Education Worker in the Samulalí team. Studying Agronomy at UPONIC.

 

 

Anielka Guadalupe Mairena Rugama

From San Antonio, Yasica Sur. Community Education Worker with the Girls and Young Women's Network in the San Ramón team, and studying final year of secondary school at the High School in San Ramón.

 

Cesar Augusto Moreno

From La Reyna, San Ramón, teaches Carpentry in CESESMA's Vocational Education programme in La Dalia.

 

 

Mario de Jesús Martínez

Socio-Cultural Animateur, originally from Managua, works on youth theatre, children's reading programme and communication initiatives with the La Dalia team.

 

 

María de los Ángeles Espinoza Ruiz de Shier

From Matagalpa, is a Computer Systems Engineer, and CESESMA's Information Technology teacher.

 

 

Emilio René Cruz Rugama

Originally from Estelí, is a Computer Systems Engineer, and CESESMA's IT technician, responsable for the computer equipment and network.
