The CESESMA team: Who are we? 

The members of the team, one by one:

Nohemí Molina Tórrez

One of the founders of CESESMA in 1996. Member of the co-ordinating team. Coordinates the work in Yasica Sur and Samulalí, and also works on organisational development, education and training.

Camilo José Hernández

Community development and youth worker. Coordinates the Yasica Sur area team.

Blanca Lidia Rugama (Blanquita)

Cook and housekeeper of the CESESMA office.

Guillermo Medrano Olivares

Co-ordinator of CESESMA, looking after the management of the organisation, planning and development, monitoring and evaluation, national networking.

Marta Lidia Padilla (Martita)

Education worker and member of the co-ordinating team, working on teacher-training and participation in education programmes. 

“The children and young people absolutely participate in the development of the community."

 

Donald Antonio Zelaya Rizo

Responsible for media and communications, especially the children's radio project, publication design and graphics.

Catalina Varela Ruiz

Craft trainer in knitting, crochet, sewing and dressmaking (previously used to be the cook in CESESMA).

 

“For the implementation of the rights of women.”

Harry McCall Shier

Organisational development, education and training adviser, and member of the co-ordinating team. Facilitates strategic planning and evaluation processes. Co-ordinates the young educators training programme FOCAPEC, and the partnership project with Irish teachers' union INTO. Involved in international networking and solidarity work.

Janeth Saenz Montenegro

Head of administration, finance and personnel.

 

 

Esteban Martín Mayer

Organisational development adviser. Also environmental educator and consultant, and works on the organic agriculture programme in La Dalia.

Everth Joel González Ocampo

Director of the Community Learning Centre in Casas Blancas, La Dalia; co-ordinates the programme of educational and cultural activities in the centre.

"Fighting for children and young people to have a better quality of life and the freedom to participate."

Moisés Molina Tórrez

Coordinates the "Associativity" programme in the three districts, supporting rural young people in developing small business ventures. Also works in organic agriculture and craft training, and plays the guitar.

Efrén Martín Pineda

Actor, director and youth drama worker. In charge of CESESMA's youth theatre programme.

Marisol Hernández Méndez

Co-ordinates the Children and Youth against Violence project in Yasica Sur. Community educator and trainer.

"For a future where children and young people's rights are respected."

Amy Giovania Araúz

Psychologist. Co-ordinator of the Network of Girls and Young Women. Also runs CESESMA's teacher training programmes.

 

"For recognition of girls and young women's rights".


Karla Lisseth Sánchez
 

Coordinates the Network of Girls and Young Women. Also works in youth theatre, dance and crafts programmes.

Bobbie Verdegaal

Originaria de California, Estados Unidos, Bobbie llegó a CESESMA el noviembre de 2007 como voluntaria del programa estadounidense Cuerpo de Paz. Es licenciada en biología y también maestra. Trabaja en la educación ambiental en cinco comunidades del sector de Samulalí.
